Wonderful weekend!!

Xmas-y mood in SFO! little houses with pretty lights.. californians do try to make xmas real fun..

Friday was a great day.. My birthday! My colleagues bought me a cake.. that was huge! like 4 layers of cake in one.. where the normal one is juz 2 layers... juz one slice left me extremely full & satisfied.. thank you guys.. u are so sweet.. =)

Since it was a friday, we left office pretty early.. 5pm..so a few of us went to this pub called Faultline for some beer and finger food.. nice place.. u know i dont drink..so juz root beer for me.. Then i went back to hotel to wait for Dee to pick me up.. she was late.. n i actually fell asleep waiting for her.. haha.. we went to this japanese restaurant to have yummy ramen.. introduced by momo! great food reasonably priced! we juz chatted into the night n she came to my room to chat even more.. wow! we really had sooooo much to catch up on..

Saturday was Dee-day! ok.. kinda corny.. ya.. she picked me up 7.15am.. *yawn*... i seldom wake up sooo early on a saturday.. u know how lazy i am... we went to fisherman's wharf to have bf at Boudwin's.. then picked up our tickets to Alcatraz... learnt some history & stories of the inmates' escapes.. the audio tour was pretty excellent..kind of similar to the perth prison though..well guess jails cant be all that different..after that we had steamed crab at the stands at the wharf..super fresh n sweet meat..walked around a fair bit n off we go to gilroy.. yes.. gilroy again for me.. this time i didnt buy anything.. almost got a samsonite bag that i really liked.. US$170 b4 taxes.. now i really regret not getting it.. =(

Sunday is sleep in day.. woke up at 12.. a wee bit groggy.. but well..who cares..it was great sleep..we went to chocolate factory at 2pm.. its a nice place to visit if u come to SFO..gd choc for u to try.. theres a 99% cacao choc that i tried..oo..it was terribly bitter.. so not my type of choc.. this particular brand of choc is like a gourmet choc, something along the lines of godiva or royce.. yes the stuff is expensive! got a bottle of cocoa powder for US$9... havent decided who to give it to.. heee...heres the webby.. http://www.scharffenberger.com/ .. i wanna go to Jelly Bean factory the next time.. i'm sure it'd b fun!!! Jason, Jocelyn & Momo took me to Broadway Prime Ribs for dinner.. excellent stuff!!! i dont think you can find such great beef in sg.. kinda sad.. everything about it was nice.. ok except that we had to wait 45 mins for a table...shows how good the food has to be..
