Austin Powers!?!?!!?

Havent updated my blog in a kaZillion years.. well.. life goes on as usual.. work work work.. wonder if people are still checking out my blog a not... well, i havent travelled for work since jan, except for a 3 day Penang trip in April i think.. that was kinda fun.. eating cheap local food.. penang char kway teow rockS!! I think if I were in Penang on job for 3 weeks.. i would put on 3kgs at least.. no kidding man..

most of u know that I am in Austin now.. and yes, one of the nights there was Austin Powers movie on tv.. i just think this is corny.. but ya.. so far my trip here has been pretty fantastic! The night i arrived, my Singapore-Houstonian frens came to pick me at the Austin airport @ 11+pm.. oh i am sooooo touched... but they were complaining that i didnt look all that surprised or full of emotions.. well, for one, i am tired after spending so much time at the STUPID LA airport.. (boy i hate my dept sec.. she sucks!).. the other thing was, actually, i already knew they were fetching me at airport, coz Egg told Quek about it! n of course, as Quek would have put it, I am a demanding person with high standards and imagination.. so I already had the thought that u guys would turn up at the airport... haha... that explains my lack of facial expressions bah.. we had supper at Denny's but ordered breakfast stuff.. was pretty yummy...out here, they call rosti hash brown.. kinda strange.. after that they all bunked with me at Marriott Residence Inn.. was pretty cosy.. had enough room for all, except for poor egg who had to zzz on the floor...

Sunday was great coz we went shopping at San Marcos! I walked around with my evil twin.. and both of us bought a Coach bag... now Thinmonkey is like blaming me for being a bad influence! Shopping was fun.. but tiring...

WORK WORK WORK! boring.. $$ is hard to earn.. i really earn my keep with toil and sweat...

Houston Weekend! ok i love the weekends.. had crawfish for dinner! SUPER YUM!! plus the excellent pistolet! oh man.. finally i taste fantastic seafood.. stayed over at Dee's house in Tomball.. nice cosy place.. i really feel like having my own home.. a place i call my own.. can decorate according to my liking, laze around anywhere i want, in anything...Sat was just running errands, shopping at The Galleria, which is a big shopping mall in HOuston.. Bought Victoria Secrets!!! ok u know what it is...no elaboration required.. period..

Sat night we had chinese food at chinatown.. so so bah... esp for me who is used to eating yum chinese food.. guess nice chinese food is scarce in US.. after dinner, i went house visiting.. went to egg's house, zing's house and 2 elmside residences.. watched a Walk The Line.. kinda nice show.. i tot i would fall asleep coz i was very tired.. somehow i watched the whole show..

Sunday was CURRY DAY!!! Zing cooked yummy curry for us.. *slurp* .. we drank up all the curry! can u imagine 5 hungry people gobbling up a pot of curry?!?! exactly what we did.. gluttons!

Back to work.. lots of chim controls to test... needed like a few walkthroughs to obtain thorough understanding...well, alls worth it.. i feel much more knowledgeable now.. debits and credits..

oh great news today!!! I got my CFE results!! PASSED THE EXAMS! But ... i need to wait for the certification committee to approve my cert and status.. keke.. hopefully that will go well.. YES YESYES!!

Hopefully, i can pass my CPA.. which i think i totally screwed up... and then i gota really start studying for my CIA which is in mid may... i have to pass that man! dont u guys feel i am a cert collector? well .. its essential for survival... n my colleague taught me a new phrase... Money Slut... i wont call myself that though.. coz i feel that i have to keep abreast of industry changes and continually improve & upgrade myself... even though my biggest dream yet is.. to be a tai tai!! Trade stocks, play mj (ooo how i miss mj... hand itchy!) and cook dinner for my hubby.. ok i got no hubby.. cook for myself then.. =)
